Brooks is a bowler! He did pretty good for his first time.

Jonny and Brooks were so interested in the ball machine. They loved waiting for them to come back.

Went on a hike to see some water falls in Pleasant Grove. It would have been a lot prettier but all the trees were dead.

I felt bad Daylen and Brad carried the boys on their shoulders the whole way up and part of the way down.
On the way home we stopped at Cove Fort. It's a historical church site. I have driven by it about a hundred times but never stopped. I am glad we did I think it will be a new stop for us on our way up north. It has a beautiful picnic area and the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen. I would highly recommend stopping.

What a natural! Aunt Stacie was teaching Brooks a thing or two on the piano.

YUMMY! Scarfing down some greasy fair food.

So I thought that I had found the perfect solution to time out, I would put Brooks in a chair that buckled. This way he couldn't get out until his time was up (1 min.). Well this lasted for a short time. He decided he would just crawl around with it instead. What am I going to do with this child.

So this is what I came home to after leaving Daylen in charge for only 30 minutes. He decided to give Brooks a haircut. I didn't get mad I just laughed about it for a long time.

Brooks is wondering what all the laughter is about. Poor thing he has no idea.

Brooks' new wagon, thanks to his dad. He loves this thing, it is one of our best purchases.

My dad planted pumpkins with the gran kids earlier this year so that we would have some pumpkins for Halloween. The grand kids really enjoyed cleaning the guts out but they got bored when it came to carving.

Already to go trick or treating, don't they look so excited.

The Flintstones are back! We had a lot of fun making our costumes for a Halloween party. Thanks to Julie (Daylen's mom) we were able to get them done in time.

The boys are making a game plan for the next game. Daylen played the infield and some outfield. He also had a lot of great hits, he hit a triple it seemed like it was only inches away from becoming a home run. My dad was the pitcher and he did pretty well. He also hit well, I don't think I have ever seen him run as fast as he did that night I was extremely impressed.

4th Year Anniversary

Daylen and I were able to take our first real vacation in a long time. It was nice to spend time with each other and not have any worries.

We went to two Cubs games while we were down in San Diego. We had great seats we sat in left field the first night and the Padres walk off home run was hit one row behind us (we made ESPN). The second night we sat in right field and I learned that's where the roudies sit, but it was all right because the Cubs won that game.

Provo Half Marathon

My mom and sisters and I decided to run a half marathon. It was a lot of fun to be able to do the run with them. I was very proud of my mom and my little sister for doing it, they haven't really ever done something that big before.

We went up to Idaho for the 24th to spent time with some of Daylen's family. Daylen had a lot of fun with his brothers playing games, fishing, and four wheeling. They even had their own club house (I didn't tell you that)! I learned a lot about coupons and food storage from my sister-in-law, it was great.

Our little boy is not so little anymore. Last weekend we celebrated his first birthday with my family. It is so crazy that he is a year old!

I had a meeting for church tonight and to keep Brooks occupied I gave him some dark chocolate and before I knew it he looked like this. He may have a lot of qualities from his dad but he definitely got his love for dark chocolate from me!

I went down to Vegas to spend time with my older sister and my family while Daylen took a trip with his brothers. Brooks was able to spend time with his cousin Hunter. I didn't think they would really interact that much but they seemed to have so much fun together.

INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0 and Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do?

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html, try to download Tears6.2, and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If those applications work as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0, or Beer 6.1.Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend5.0-program. This is an unsupported application and will crash Husband1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and Hot Lingerie 7.7.

I finally accomplished my goal of running a half marathon. I have only talked about doing one for three years so it was time. My friend Abby and I trained for a few months and were able to finish the race in a decent amount of time. I was pretty proud of us because we both had a baby about six months ago.

You think its tough trying to open a gift sometimes. Well try doing it with mittens and layers of boxes, tape, and paper. In order to have a chance to unwrap the mystery present you had to roll doubles and then yell Santa Clause. This game was a hit!

Here are the final results of pin the nose on Frosty. I had a hard time with this game. If you can see the nose clear off to the left that one is mine, I don't know what my deal was. At least Frosty's cute I made him myself!

Daylen did well he came in second.

This is the Lunch Bunch Crew. A few of my friends and I have been having lunch together every other Monday. I always look forward to those Lunch Bunch Mondays because it gives me a chance to get out and socialize.

Having fun at the Halloween Party. This game we were playing is called pass the paper, but it was really just a trick that was played on Daylen. They got him good!

This was the last year for the Fred and Wilma costumes. They were getting a little worn out.

These are some pictures from our mystery dinner party. We had a lot of fun. The characters were from different time periods. Daylen was the President of the U.S. during 1999 (he played a great Bill Clinton) and I was a fashion designer from the late 50's (I had on a much better costume but Brooks decided to throw up all over it). If you are ever looking for something different and fun to do I would strongly suggest a mystery dinner.

We went up to Navajo lake last weekend to try our luck at fishing, but we didn't do so well. Brooks enjoyed himself for the most part. Daylen would hold him while he wasn't crying so that I could do a little fishing but when he started to fuss it was my turn. Even though we didn't catch anything it was nice to be outdoors.
